About the property
Mataka Station is an exclusive gated residential estate based and operated on an ongoing farming operation. The building sites, especially those on the north coast are reputed to have the most magnificent water views in New Zealand (Lot 10 is one of these lots). Wiwiki beach is known as the finest in Northland. The total area of Mataka is 1,147 hectares (2,835 acres), divided into 30 Lots only, each ranging from 20 to 57 hectares (50 to 140 acres).
Generally the smaller Lots are Coastal - with extensive views, the larger inland or Rural Lots with less views and easier
contours. The main house sites have been designated and approved as part of the original Resource Consent to ensure the best views, but retaining the most privacy from the adjoining sites. The site spans an impressive 20.02 ha (49.470 acres) and comprises what we think is arguably the Bay of Islands best building site, with all day sun, the views from this lot are dramatic and expansive taking in Cape Wiwiki, Ninepin, Bay of Islands and the Pacific Ocean beyond.
Lot 21 is one of the largest lots at Mataka with a land area of 50.3 ha (124 acres). It offers distant ocean views from the designated house site and a wide ranging and appealing rural backdrop over Mataka and back towards Kerikeri inlet.
