Shelly Beach Farms

Shelly Beach Farms is an outstanding organic/bio-dynamic farm on a peninsula on the magnificent Kaipara Harbour, one hour northwest of Auckland. It has wonderful panoramic water views, three kilometres of water frontage with its own private beach, and a limitless supply of fresh water. Twenty five years ago, it was the first New Zealand farm to be certified for both BioGro and Demeter organic status and has proven sustainability as a closed organic unit. The farm's owners are world leaders in researching and implementing sustainable practices derived from working in harmony with nature. The results are innovative, cost-effective, integrated and resilient rather than a high production enterprise and attracts students from all over the world.
